Demo Mode lets you open the Monarch mobile app with your personal financial data hidden, so you can show Monarch to friends and family without exposing your actual financials.

When Demo Mode is on, all balances, net worth, transactions, and charts are masked so your real numbers aren’t visible.

Currently, Demo Mode is available for the mobile app only.

Demo Mode is available in areas that best demonstrate Monarch’s core experiences. These include:

• Dashboard
• Accounts
• Transactions
• Cash Flow
• Budget
• Recurring
• Goals
• Investments

Note that Demo Mode limits the ability to change real data, so you cannot create or edit rules or categories, or add, edit, or delete accounts or transactions, etc.

How to enable Demo Mode

1. Ensure your Monarch mobile app is updated to version 2.0.77 or higher.
2. Open the navigation bar in the app by tapping the three line menu in the upper left corner.
3. Tap the Settings icon.
4. Tap Demo Mode at the top.
5. Tap Turn on.
6. The app will refresh to load Demo Mode.
7. When the app refreshes, you’ll see a Demo Mode banner and all personal financial data will be masked.

How to turn Demo Mode off

1. On any page, click the Demo Mode floating banner to return to the Demo Mode settings and tap Turn off.
2. The app will refresh and return to your normal view.
