You can delete your Monarch account at any time from the Security screen (found here).

If you are in an active paid subscription, you will need to first cancel your subscription. Once cancelled, you can then delete your Monarch account. 

Note that if you subscribed to Monarch through an app store you must cancel your subscription before deleting the app. Uninstalling the app from your phone/tablet will not cancel your subscription. Read more about how to cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play Store subscription here.

Please Note: Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account. Please follow the instructions below to delete the account. 

1. Visit Settings and click on Security.

2. Click on "Delete Account". This action is irreversible.

What happens to your data

Deleting your account is permanent. You won't be able to reopen or restore it, and you'll lose access to your account connections, transactions, and balances. We recommend downloading your transaction and account history first.

Closing your account isn't the same as erasing all of your information. We may keep some information after your account is closed, as described in the Data Retention section of our Privacy Policy.

If you'd also like us to delete the personal information we hold about you, that's a separate request. Email support@monarch.com, and we'll delete or de-identify what we hold, with some exceptions the law allows, like records we need to keep for security, fraud prevention, tax, or legal reasons.
