Tracking your property, vehicles, and valuables

Overview

You can track the value of your home, vehicles, and other valuable assets in Monarch to get a complete, accurate view of your net worth.

Monarch supports automatic valuation through Zillow for real estate and VinAudit for vehicles. You can also manually add any asset that cannot be synced automatically.

Note: Zillow and VinAudit connections are currently available for US members only and are not supported in Canada.

Add a property via Zillow

Zillow lets you sync your property’s estimated market value directly into Monarch using its Zestimate (Zillow’s estimate of your home’s market value). If your property doesn’t have a Zestimate, visit the Zillow Help Center for support.

  1. Go to the Accounts tab.
  2. Select + Add account (on mobile, tap the + icon in the top right).
  3. Choose Real estate, crypto, and more.
  4. Select Zillow.
  5. Search for your home address and select the correct property.
  6. Choose the Type of home: Primary home, Secondary home, or Rental property.
  7. Select Save (on mobile, tap Add account) to finish adding your property.

Tip: If you’re already tracking real estate manually, you can convert it to a Zillow-connected account by toggling Sync value from Zillow to on in the account settings. This cannot be toggled off once selected.

Disconnecting from Zillow

To disconnect a home from Zillow, you will need to delete the account under Edit > Edit Account.

Add a vehicle via VinAudit

VinAudit allows Monarch to automatically track your vehicle’s estimated market value. Vehicle values refresh monthly, typically around the 27th of each month.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It can take VinAudit 6-12 months to receive a market value for brand-new vehicles. If you aren't able to add your car that has a model year of this year, you may need to wait longer.

  1. Go to the Accounts tab.
  2. Select + Add account (on mobile, tap the + icon in the top right).
  3. Choose Real estate, crypto, and more.
  4. Select Vehicle.
  5. Enter your vehicle’s VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).
  6. Confirm the details and select Save (on mobile, tap Add account).

Note: VinAudit connections are available only for vehicles registered in the United States.

Disconnecting from VinAudit

To disconnect a vehicle from VinAudit, you will need to delete the account under Edit > Edit Account.

Add other assets and valuables manually

If you have valuables, assets, or accounts that can’t be synced through a data provider or financial institution, you can still track their value manually.

To do this, create a Manual Account with a balance that you can update at any time.

  1. Go to the Accounts tab.
  2. Select + Add account (on mobile, tap the + icon in the top right).
  3. Choose Real estate, crypto, and more.
  4. Select Manual account.
  5. Enter the asset name, value, and type (for example, Vehicles, Valuables, Cash, or Other assets).
  6. Select Save (on mobile, tap Add account) to finish adding your asset.

You can update the balance manually anytime the value changes.

Tip: If you’re already tracking a property manually, you can convert it to a Zillow-connected account by toggling Sync value from Zillow to on.
